About Cielo Electric

We produce a diverse portfolio of electrical control, protection and distribution devices under Cielo Electric brand. We develop and manufacture a large selection of circuit protection devices, circuit breakers and contactors to suit many different applications. These are characterized by very high levels of performance with limited overall dimensions, installation simplicity and an increasingly greater guarantee of safety. Our MCB (Miniature Circuit Breakers), MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breakers), SPD (Surge Protection Devices) etc.

The Surge Protection Device (SPD) is a component of the electrical installation protection system. This device is connected in parallel on the power supply circuit of the loads that it has to protect.

It can also be used at all levels of the power supply network. SPD is designed to limit transient overvoltages of atmospheric origin and divert current waves to earth, so as to limit the amplitude of this overvoltage to a value that is not hazardous for the electrical installation and electric switchgear and controlgear.

Cielo Electric SPD products include 1-Pole, 2-Poles, 3-Poles and 4-Poles Surge Protector Devices.

The circuit breaker is an automatically operated electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to detect a fault condition and interrupt current flow.

Unlike a fuse, which operates once and then must be replaced, a circuit breaker can be reset (either manually or automatically) to resume normal operation. Circuit breakers are made in varying sizes.

The Cielo Electric family of Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) products have two types of AC and DC. AC type includes four series of CM11, CM12, CM13 and CM14. DC MCB products are also presented in four series of CM21, CM22, CM23 and CM24.

The Cielo Electric family of Moulded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) products have 6 types of CMC-100, CMC-225, CMC-400, CMC-630, CMC-1000 and CMC-1600 ranging from 16A to 1600A and suitable for both DC and AC systems. The switching capacity is up to 55kA.
